MORA : From Salsa to Cumbia * 18th February

The UK’s original radical Latin clubnight Club Sandino returns for a special one-off at Passing Clouds to raise money for NSC’s new projects. Run by the Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign Club Sandino was once the hub for Latin music in the UK with a network of club nights around the country.

One of the original selectors and BBC3 presenter Max Reinhardt returns to grace the decks alongside Movimientos DJs. And live on stage - Mora a new project featuring some of the UK’s top Latin players with the finest Latin grooves from Salsa to Cumbia and Merengue,

In the Movimientos tradition there is documentary film upstairs early with ‘American Sandinista’, an inspiring documentary about US aid worker Ben Linder killed by the contra fighters during the first Sandinista government in the 1980s. It features archival footage, still photography and contemporary interviews. In Spanish with English subtitles
