Peruvian Pisco Special : Malambo + Fernando's Kitchen 01/03/2011

Movimientos London, Malambo and Notting Hill Arts Club’s Firewater Society have teamed up with Amathus Drinks– who specialise in the finest Peru’s finest traditional spirit Pisco - to present a night of Peruvian culture and Latin revelry. Early on there’ll be a tasting session to sample some of the Amathus’ unique variety of Pisco brands including 1615, Payet, Qollqe and an int...roduction and history of the drink plus throughout the night special offers on a selection of the Arts Club’s finest Pisco Sour cocktails.

Malambo – one of UK’s finest exponents of Peruvian Criollo music - will provide a party mix of Afro-Peruvian dance music, with influences from Cuban Son and Argentinian Tango. And we welcome another truly exceptional new band in the form of Fernando’s Kitchen whose star has been rising in the last couple of years playing gigs and festivals across the country, honing their fascinating fusion of Flamenco rhythms with Latin, North-African & Arabic influences.

Plus DJs Cal Jader and Arias continue to make Movimientos one of the most forward thinking Latin nights in the capital with their selection of new and old school Latin rhythms from Salsa and Cumbia to Tropical bass, Brazilian, Urban and electronic beats.
